WHAT WE ARE DOING AT LINDEN HOUSE TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE
Following the re-opening of Linden House after lockdown we want you to know that we have introduced a few changes to ensure that our home is safe to stay in during the “new normal”. We would rather not make these changes but the safety of our guests is paramount and they are done with the best of intentions.
If you or any of your party are feeling unwell with fever, continuous cough, change in sense of taste or smell we must ask that you follow government advice by staying at home and not travelling.
To comply with track and trace requirements and to minimise check in time we will ask you to check-in online before you arrive at Linden House.
Normally we do our best to accommodate early arrivals but in order to complete deep cleans between stays, rooms will not be available before 4.00 p.m. We only have two guest rooms and in the unlikely event that you arrive at the same time as the other party please take a seat outside in the garden until the other guests are settled in their room.
There is sanitiser in the hall for you to use whenever you enter and leave the house. Unfortunately we won’t be able to handle your luggage so if you are using the luggage transfer service we will keep it separate in our hall.
Please keep up with your social distancing and handwashing whilst you are with us. Our reception hall is large enough for guests to keep 2 m apart as is the corridor to the dining room. It is not possible to physically pass one another in a socially distanced way in these areas but it is possible to move to be 2 m away from one another.
The stairs to your bedroom will only be used by our guests. The banisters will be sanitised regularly both before and during your stay.
To minimise the risk of infection we have removed all decorative soft furnishings and reading material from your room and provided a hand sanitiser for your use whilst staying with us. We have also started using individual toiletries in our ensuite rooms so please feel free to take any partly used items as they are specifically for your use only.
You will be able to go to the Crown Inn for your evening meal but will need to reserve a table beforehand by phoning 01434 681 231.
Should you develop symptoms whilst staying with us please let us know. You will need to self-isolate immediately and request a test. If you are found to have Covid-19 you should return home using private transport. If you are not well enough to return home we will consult with an appropriate health care professional or the local authority.
Breakfast will be served in the dining room and we ask that you pre-order the cooked items the evening before. We are staggering breakfast time so only guests from one room are present in the dining room at a time. We propose timings to be 7.45 a.m. and 8.30 a.m. We would be grateful if the second sitting would not enter the dining room until the first sitting has left.
Check out is at 10.00 a.m. to allow us time for a deep clean between each guest. Before leaving the room we would be grateful if you could open the windows.
We hope this information assures you that we are doing our very best to ensure you stay safe whilst you are at Linden House and we sincerely hope you have a comfortable stay.
